Individuals and Couples Therapy
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
My approach is non-pathologizing and is rooted in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, client- centred work. I work with integrative modalities and evidence-based methods. This approach ensures all sessions are tailored to the needs and uniqueness of each client.
Together we can build on your strengths, known and unknown and help equip you with tools to move with more ease in desired directions. Through collaborative efforts we can clarify helpful short/long term goals.
Having a safe and supportive space to process life events and explore internal thoughts and questions can be an incredibly helpful tool.
I work with a diverse clientele from many walks of life and identities. I work with many individuals who identify as being part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as well as individuals who do not identify with this community. I am an ally to BIPOC communities and acknowledge that I am committed to a life time of continued learning, listening and advocacy.
Since 2015, I have pursued training in Humanistic Existential Psychotherapy and Integrative Psychodynamic modalities including Bioenergetics, various trainings and approaches for working with Trauma, and Expressive Arts Therapies. I have been working directly with clients since 2018.
I am trained in Level 1 and 2 Gottman Method for couples work and have a background in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), conflict resolution and Mediation. This background and training helps aid me while working in both individual and couples settings.
I invite you to reach out for a consultation to see if working together feels like the right fit.
It would be my pleasure to support you in your process. My door is open, and I’m here to help.
Land acknowledgments such as this one below are shared and written to acknowledge, encourage and honour steps towards being in relationship with the land and continue to engage part of the work necessary to address and honour Truth and Reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. I acknowledge that the Indigenous names that are listed below is not a full list of cultural acknowledgment and there is a deeper Indigenous history of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples that dates back thousands of years.
I am grateful to live and work in Toronto, also known as Tkaronto, which is on the unceded traditional territory of the Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Mississaugas of the Credit, Annishnabe, Wendat, Chippewa, Seneca and Petun First Nations.
Toronto is in the “Dish With One Spoon Territory,” home to many diverse cultures including many First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
The Dish With One Spoon is a treaty between the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas and Haudenosaunee that bound them to share the territory and protect the land. Subsequent Indigenous Nations and peoples, Europeans and newcomers, have been invited into this treaty in the spirit of peace, friendship and respect.
